Vegas baby...

Ketan and David didn´t just come to Arizona for fun, no we finally met up together for a nice detour to Las Vegas. Town of gambling, mother of poker and symbol of fortune and ruin in once. So we booked a nice room in MGM Grand hotel, got into the car and hit the road. While  Martin was driving we had the pleasure of seeing the wonderful landscape of the Arizona stone deserts. Sounds boring, but I tell you it´s not!

After a 6 hour drive, which was loaded with the most disgusting Martin-farts you can ever imagine (quote Ketan: "Martin, dude, if you will ever fart again, I´ll drown you at the hover dam lake"), we arrived at our destination point: LAS VEGAS

At the hotel we met Emily which arrived one day earlier and so... the gang was complete.

Now, I understand why American kids are so fascinated of Vegas. All over the city the people are just gambling, and drinking, everybody carries his beer or whatever he is drinking around, even on the streets, what´s just in Vegas allowed without the typical bottle-paper-bag-camouflage. So objective number one was, get shitfaced as hell for the smallest possible amount of money. They charge you about 7 Dollar for a beer at the bar, cocktails or other exotic drinks are way more expensive. Normally during the evening you easily drink about 6 to 12 beers (because of the dry and hot weather of course ;) ). So you can spend 100 bucks in no time... but, there is one way to beat the system...gambling. The best thing is, you get free drinks, while you are sitting at a poker, black jack, roulette or another table. That brings a whole new dynamic into gambling. So sit down on a poker table, spend some money on thy buy in and then try to last as long as possible to receive the free drinks. Rule number one here is to tip the waitress properly, so she comes more often to your seat. So I managed to get about 12 to 14 beers during my 4 hour stay at the poker table in MGM Grand, for 40 dollar buy in. So you can beat the bank ;)

On Saturday we met with some of Ketans friends, nice guys, but one word of advice, when some Indian guys have drinks like this (picture to the right) ... you easily end up in the managers office .... but the whole story would be to long to write it down here, I´ll tell you guys in person.

In the end, Vegas is real fun and if you wanna have cheap drinks, start gambling (Hooters hotel and casino 5 Coronas in about 45 minutes of black jack) ;)
